.. And how long did it accept you? I'grand currently a 14,and I'd like to exist a x once more. To do and so, I'll take to lose about three and a one-half rock.
I feel this is quite a lot - a girl at work who is roughly my size was saying she drops a dress size for every 10lbs she loses!

Information technology depends on your pinnacle. In general, the taller yous are, the more weight you need to lose to go down a size.

I'm 5ft 4 well-nigh I'k a large 10 at 9 stone ten. At 9 stone iv I'd be an 8-10. And then about vii/8 lb

Honestly information technology completely depends on a) the dress and b) the shape of your particular trunk. I've been 10stone and about 12 stone and all the same fit into size 10 dresses from some labels and size 12 dresses from others. In some brands/cuts I was a size xiv because of my boobs, in others a size x considering I have smaller hips/bum.
The only affair that really works to see if your torso is changing is the scales and a tape measure, and/or one non-stretchy piece of clothing that you endeavour on once a week and see if you lot're any closer to getting it up over your thighs/buttoning across the front/raising your arms without bursting out the dorsum.
A couple of weeks agone I hit exactly 12 stone - my heaviest non-pregnant weight. All my size 12 dress from the showtime of lockdown when I was 10st10 nonetheless fit fine, just a little tighter round the waist, thighs and across my back and upper arms. I'm at present aiming for 9st4 to be in the eye of the "healthy" BMI range simply I bet I'll still be wearing some of my size 12 dresses!

I've lost near 4 rock recently and have dropped from a xx-22 to a xvi.
Candyflosscookie Tue 18-Aug-20 11:24:55
Sizes "widen" as they go up. And then the differences in cm betwixt say an 8 to a x, is less than the differences between a twenty to a 22. It takes more to drop a bigger size.
I've lost 2 stone and merely gone from a 16 to a 14. But I know (from previous experience) that merely one more stone and I'll be back in my 12 jeans again. I'chiliad adequately tall.

I'd say for me a dress size is roughly every 20lbs.

No need to lose weight at all, just attempt shopping at a dissimilar store. I can alter ii to 3 dress sizes depending on the store.

I've lost three and a half stone since 2nd Jan and re-bought my favourite dress from last autumn and then I can clothing information technology once again. Concluding November I needed a size twenty, at present I'k in a size 14. I'yard 5'half dozen". Then I'd say information technology probably does correlate for me as a stone per dress size. Tbh though, I always accept a range of sizes in my wardrobe depending on fashion and brand!

I'chiliad 5'five" and in the low xi stone range and tin can fit into a size 12 tiptop ok and into fourteen/16 in trousers.
At fourteen stone I was 16-18 in tops and 18-20 in trousers.

I think 1 stone more or less. I was a size fourteen and lost 2 stone so was a size10 - 12 I've put 2.5 rock back on and now a 14-xvi. I'm going to try and lose i stone so I tin can exist a comfy size 14
RosaBaby2 Tue 18-Aug-20 eleven:49:04

It depends how big i am in one case I'm nigh at the good for you weight it takes less weight to wearing apparel size.
last fourth dimension I lost weight I lost two rock before I could get downwardly to the next size but I lost 4 rock in total and went downwards iii apparel sizes.
I'm tall though. My sister lost the same in weight but is 3 inches shorter than me and went downwardly from a sixteen to an 8.
To be honest information technology'southward harder now to use wearing apparel size every bit they vary so wildly in shops. You tin be a ten in ane shop but a 14 in some other! I on the aforementioned day bought a 16 from a shop and needed a 22 in some other and I have never ever needed a 22 ever!
Information technology'south much easier to judge by measuring your waist, your thigh and the top of your arm. It shows the inches yous have lost and with the waist especially y'all can see if you are at the healthy measurements.

Nearly a stone.
Recently lost 3 rock and take gone from size twenty to size 14.
I call up I'chiliad extra dense though, I'thou 5'iv and xiv stone, fit comfortably into size fourteen jeans. I'm aiming for a healthy BMI so all the same about iv rock abroad!

makingmyway10 Tue 18-Aug-20 12:13:twoscore
I am not small, size 18 I am also short. If I lost a stone and a half I would driblet a dress size. I lost v stone half dozen years ago and went from a Size xx/22 to a size 14. So for me 5 stone was iii/4 dress sizes. I have put about all the weight back on In the concluding three years though . I have merely started to endeavour and lose some once again only I now have a long term health condition that requires meds including steroids and I also am well into peri menopause so a lot harder now! However I am besides a lot happier now so swings and roundabouts
Doje Tue 18-Aug-20 12:17:14
I lost ii stone and dropped from a 12/14 to a x/12.

QueenCT Tue xviii-Aug-twenty 12:eighteen:53
two stone for a clothes size for me
wendz86 Tue 18-Aug-20 12:19:28
Dress prob effectually half a stone 3/iv of a stone. Jean size i'd need to lose quite a bit. I was a stone and a half lighter than I am previously and still in same size jeans. My hips/legs are my widest part.
