Ffxiv How To Get To Ishgard

How will we gain access to Ishgard?

I want to make a Dark Knight as soon as they come out. According to the FF XiV wiki, the only prerequisite is to have access to Ishgard. I have a level 43 BLM and a level 25 Marauder. I want to continue playing my marauder, though if getting to Ishgard requires completion of the main story quest then I want to level my BLM instead so I can make a Dark Knight by time of launch.

You need to complete all of the MSQ up to and including the quests in patch 2.55. That requires a Level 50 and an Item Level of 90.

First quest of HW will direct you into Ishgard.

It's been stated quite a few times that you will need to finish the current story quests to access Heavensward/Ishgard. Aside from needing 'access to ishgard' there will be quests to complete and likely a class requirement like other jobs (I may be wrong on that point, though), but we wont know much of that until release most likely.

If you have a lvl 43 blm, I'd recommend trying to get to level 50 asap and finishing all your story quests as such.

You have to complete the 2.55 storyline to access ishgard. Means you need a level 50 i90 character.... This has been asked before.

If your highest class is level 43, you will not make it in time for launch. You literally have 1 day to complete months of content since maintenance starts on Thursday morning. You HAVE to complete the current storyline to gain access to Ishgard where all the new classes are obtained.

If you look at the patch notes, it says it's actually required to have a level 50 character to unlock DRK. (which makes sense since you need to have a lv50 character to clear the main story up through 2.55)

I assume the first quest will be in Camp Dragonhead and it'll move you along from there.
